From Automotive Icon to Spatial Experience

The 1959 Cadillac Series 62 is more than a car: it is an icon of an era, a symbol of post-war optimism, cinematic glamour, and cultural transformation.
For an immersive experience, we recreated this legendary vehicle as a high-fidelity realtime 3D asset, starting from extensive photographic references.

Our work focused on the accurate reconstruction of the vehicle’s proportions, surfaces, and materials, with particular attention to the interplay between chrome, paint, and interior details - key elements that define the Cadillac’s unmistakable character.
The asset was fully optimized for realtime rendering, balancing visual richness and performance to meet the high-resolution demands of the Apple Vision Pro.

This project reflects our approach to digital heritage: treating historical objects not simply as models to reproduce, but as cultural artifacts to preserve and reinterpret through immersive technologies.
By translating a physical icon into a spatial, interactive medium, the model contributes to a broader narrative where design, history, and technology converge.

The Cadillac was developed as part of a larger immersive experience created for Apple Vision Pro, exploring the cultural and symbolic role of historic automobiles within their social and cinematic context.
The overall experience was produced by Ultra (Spindox Group) for Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI), and presented to the public in 2024.
